Event Report

The EV event was integrated into our larger Arbor/Earth Day event and included a talk by David Eagle, founder of Current EV titled "Electric Vehicle Curious" to help potential EV buyers understand leases, rebates, charging and other common issues that confuse non EV owners. We were also fortunate to be able to have one of the first Audi e-trons on display.

Electric Vehicle Curious? (10:30 – 11:20)

Have you been thinking about buying an electric vehicle (EV) but are confused about whether to lease or buy, what rebates are available, or which cars qualify for car-pool lane usage or if you want answers about EV’s and hybrids? Come to this presentation and find out why 10% of new car sales in California are EVs and why that number will skyrocket in the next few years. EVs are safer, cost significantly less to maintain and are cheaper and more fun to drive. The presenter is David Eagle, an Emmy Award-winning TV/Producer. David is an early EV adopter owning one of the first Nissan LEAFs sold in the US, and he powers his EVs from his home solar panels. He founded Current EV the world's first and only licensed auto broker/concierge company devoted exclusively to EV's, Plug-In Hybrids and Hybrids," to help other drivers go EV.

Solar & Battery Storage 11:30-12:20

Find out about the newest trend of adding solar combined with battery storage to power your home and electric vehicles. Learn about the recent changes in how homeowners will be charged for energy by their utility and why 2019 might be the best time to go solar before the tax credits expire.
