Event Report
The Cupertino DEED event was a great success. Our Silicon Valley and San Jose EAA chapters combined efforts to host an EV display in conjunction with the City of Cupertino's Arbor Day and Earth Day celebration. We were one of dozens of booths with our info table, literature racks, EAA and DEED banners.
Our EV display consisted of two vintage 2002 RAV 4 EVs and two Tesla Model 3's along with a Ford Focus EV that is part of the City of Cupertino's fleet. We had a prime location on the wide sidewalk across the street from the food trucks and had a lot of visitors to our booth. We have participated in this annual celebration with the City of Cupertino for several years and are invited back every year.
Thanks to Plug in America for providing the literature and posters as well as sending the Tesla drivers to join our EAA team. One of the Tesla drivers joined our EAA chapter during the event.
