Event Report
Our first DEED event was a partnership with the Henrico County Energy Fair, which we have participated in for several years. We had a display of 11 electric vehicles from owners and a Model X from Tesla Richmond. Most of the owners were willing to offer rides in their cars, plus Hart Nissan of Mechanicsville did test drives in the 2018 LEAF. In addition, we had our EV Experience exhibit to offer unbiased, authoritative information to attendees and remote-controlled cars for children todo their own “test drives.”

Event Description
Drive Electric RVA will celebrate Earth Day in conjunction with the Henrico County Energy Fair, a semi-annual event that promotes clean energy and sustainability among county employees and the general public. The focal point will be a display of at least 10 electric vehicles, including the new Hyundai Kona Electric. We will also offer:
- Rides in selected cars,
- Test drives in the 2018 Nissan LEAF (courtesy of Hart Nissan of Mechanicsville) and Chevy Bolt (courtesy of Royal Chevrolet),
- Our EV Experience educational exhibit and interactive activities for the whole family, including a trivia game where you can win a free issue of Electric Car Insider magazine.
In addition, Solar United Neighbors will talk about their newest solar/EV charging co-op, which we are promoting along with the Virginia chapter of the Sierra Club and other community partners.
