Event Report

A short "happy hour" event, but in just 2 hours 33 people came by to look at the EVs in West Sixth's parking lot and ask questions. Members of EVolve KY displayed Nissan Leaf, and Tesla Model S, and 3. Audi of Lexington displayed their new all electric SUV "e-tron". Many attendees were also interested in Sierra Club's information table inside West Sixth Brewing. The weather was very nice for this event.

Event Description

Sponsored with Kentucky Sierra Club Cumberland Chapter and EVolve KY (Kentucky's Electric Vehicle Group).

Sierra Club will be hosting an "information" table at West Sixth Brewing on Earth Day with information on current initiatives, along with talking about renewable energy for Lexington.  EVolve KY will be showing off several different available models of electric vehicles in our "Display and Talk" to showcase the features, cost-savings, and clean-air benefits of plug-in electric cars. We will have a table and a tent with information and free giveaways. Guests will be able to ask questions and talk with electric vehicle owners about their experiences, locate local charging stations, and hear the latest news on electric vehicles in Kentucky.
