Event Report
We were able to arrange having a Tesla X brought into the FROST Museum to generate traffic.
Additionally, we created a Commuter CO2 Calculator work sheet for families to see how much GHGs they emit from their weekly work commute.
Event Description
Hello EV drivers, advocates and those thinking about switching to emission-free driving,
We look forward to meeting you all, sharing and exchanging information. While there will NOT be EV test drives available, we will have a solid variety of EVs clustered in the Museum garage for everyone to check out.
Our interactive Drive Electric Earth Day area will be located on the Plaza level which is the same level as the Museum entrance. We will be right next to the Planetarium and across from the elevators.
KEY DETAILS for Saturday:
- Parking is $8 for first hour; $4 ea additional hour https://www.frostscience.org/parking/
- EV charging: There are 6 Level 2 Chargepoint ports and one Level 2 Tesla port in the garage available on a first. When you enter the garage, follow signs to the right and you will see the chargers down on the right hand side.
- We want to cluster all the EVs in the spaces around the chargers so we plan to reserve a few spots adjacent to the chargers. These spaces will go on a first come first serve basis to you folks who come early.
- Our interactive mini-village with all the DEED supporting organizations & sponsors will be inside the Museum. Everyone must pay admission to get into the museum where you will also have access to all the other Earth Day special exhibits and all the wonders of the Museum itself. Save a $2 by buying tix online in advance here: https://www.frostscience.org/plan-your-day/
See you Saturday.
