Event Report
The Earth Day Raleigh NC event, hosted by the NC Clean Energy Technology Center and NC State's Centennial Campus Development Office, was considered a success. The site host has already asked us to do another one. The private company employees and NC State employees, who work on Centennial Campus, are a great target audience for EV ownership. We had a strong turnout with approximately 400 attendees and more that 30 test drives taken. The success of the event can be heavily attributed to the support and assistance from local EV owners and OEM dealers (Fred Anderson Toyota, Leith BMW, Leith Nissan, Capital Chrysler and Team Power Sports). We paired the EV car show with food trucks on site. This combination drew a steady crowd around the lunch hours. Thank you to all who participated.
Event Description
Join us to celebrate Earth Day with an Electric Car Show and Test Drive at Venture Plaza on NC Sate University's Centennial Campus. Venture Plaza is the open area near the Venture Buildings on Main Campus Drive. There will be information and companies to show you how to be more environmentally friendly on campus and at home. The event hours are 11am - 2pm. There will be food trucks. Learn sustainability, electric vehicles, solar energy and more!
