Event Report
Va. Union Univ. students were excited about the EVs that were on display. They sat in them and played with the touch screen. They asked questions. They were amazed when the Tesla Model S was moved in Summon mode w/o a driver being in the car. Several expressed interest in obtaining an EV in the future.
Event Description
Electric vehicles (EVs) will be part of VUU’s CreationFest 2019 in celebration of Earth Day/Week. VUU will have a tour of its greenhouse and planting activity, East African Coffee ritual, scavenger hunt, lawn party, and tabling events as well as film screenings (during the week).
There will be a Tesla Model 3 from 2:30 - 4pm and a 2019 Nissan LEAF from 4:00 - 5:30pm. Still seeking two more EVs or PHEVs for both time periods. If you’re able to bring your EV or PHEV, please contact the organizer using the "Contact" button at the top of this page so they can provide you details.
