Our Drive Electric Earth Day celebration also included several smaller but impactful events. They include:

Electric Car Display at Hilo Intermediate School  (Hawaii Island)
Noel Morin (Hawaii EV and Big Island EV President) and 5 other EV owners helped Hilo Intermediate High celebrate Earth Day on April 22. The cars were parked in front of the school. Students, staff, and parents came by to ask questions.

Electric Car Display and EV 101 at Hawaii Technology Academy (Kauai)
Sonja Kass (President of Kauai EV) brought 4 EVs to this local school on April 28. She shared information about EVs and even conducted a test as a means to educate students.

Hawaii EV on Think Tech Hawaii (Hawaii Energy show)
On April 28, Noel Morin and Bill Bugbee (Director, Hawaii EV) joined show host Mitch Ewan to share information about the organization, the benefits of EVs, general information about EVs, and how to participate in the electrification of transportation. You can view the interview here.

Big Island EV Caravan and Meet-up
While this happens on May 1; we are considering this the culminating event for DEED. This is our first in-person event for the year. We will have 2 caravans converging on a meet-up location in Waimea. Details of our event are here.
