Event Report
WDAM news stopped by and did a segment on the event on the local 6 PM and 10 PM news (as well as on their website). The Fire Dept came by with their new fire truck and also learned about where to find information on EVs for car accidents, fires, how to disable the car (etc.) Mississippi Power and Solar Initiatives setup booths.Sponsors were Hub City Humane Society and PetSmart Hattiesburg.
Donations were received from PetSmart, Raintree carwash, Java Moe's coffee, Topher's restaurant, and Half Shell restaurant.

Event Description
Drive Electric Earth Day is a newly launched nationwide event designed to raise awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles. Our goal is to help our community learn more about the benefits of electric and hybrid vehicles. Drive Electric Earth Day is organized nationally by Plug In America and the Electric Auto Association. This outdoor Hattiesburg event is co-sponsored with Petsmart and the Hub City Humane Society.
