Event Report
This 2021 DEED EVent at Danville Community College, DCC, in Danville, VA, was a family friendly Friday afternoon affair designed to attract DCC staff and families. DCC has hosted Light EV Tech classes taught by Triad EV Assn (TEVANC.org) members for 13 years. This was the first time our TEVA team brought the array of EVs and Light EVs for the DCC team to experience. We had more Light EVs show up than full size EVs in the end. The Organic Transit ELF, Segway miniPROs, and electric Blue Bikes were ridden all over the grounds of the DCC RCATT facility near the Danville airport.
Thanks to Dr Brian Jackson, VP of DCC, for the idea to bring Light EVs, and full size EVs, to DCC staff and their families. Though the DEED EVent brought smaller numbers of people than our usual DEED or NDEW EVents, we had staff and their families riding Light EVs all over the RCATT campus!
Raw video footage captured during DEED at DCC is posted here on YouTube, with photos of the EVent posted in this Flickr album. We will continue to update each and link from our TEVANC.org page.
We feel this photo of the OT ELF brought by Wole Ajala which eventually had DCC staff, their kids, and grandkids riding in it also captures the family friendly 2021 DEED at DCC EVent.

This family friendly DEED EVent saw many DCC staff and family test riding Light EVs such as the Segway miniPROs, Blue Bikes, and ELF. |
