Event Report

The event was an open house / car show style event and included over 25 EVs and owners on site to provide information on the vehicles and their experiences owning an EV in the Capital Region. The event also included participation from the regional transit provider (Capital District Transportation Authority) to provide information on their new all-electric car share program and electric micro mobility options (e-bike, and e-scooters), National Grid to provide information on their EVSE incentive programs New York State, Livingston Energy Group to provide information on their EVSE products, and the City of Albany Office of Sustainability to promote the actions the City is taking to advance EVs and sustainability. A question-and-answer session was held so participating organizations could answer questions from event attendees.

Event Description

 

Sustainable Albany invites you to Drive Electric Earth Day. On Saturday April 23rd from 11am-3pm, at Westminster Church, 85. Chestnut St. Albany, NY, come learn more about driving an Electric Vehicle.  Current EV Drivers, local dealers and local officials will be present to answer questions about the electric car experience and how our region is planning to add additional charging stations.  We will have cars available to view with a discussion happening at Noon.  There is a parking lot at the location and there is also street parking available. If you want to enjoy the neighborhood and Earth Day, parking is also available in Washington Park. We will be abiding by local and State COVID-19 Rules if necessary at the time of the event.
