Event Report
Frederick Walker gave a lecture (attended by 3 people). Our DEED event was the very first reveal of an EVSE skid made by DC America, a local firm. The skid is modular with 4 stations (two 1-plug AC stations and two 2-plug DC stations. It is modular and expandable. It enables a host to base their initial install on anticipated volume and all further expansion on demonstrated need. One underground trench provides all the power for 4, 8, or 12 stations (no need to retrench for expansion). It can have a solar-powered canopy and has room for battery storage of power for the DC stations, avoiding demand charges.
We displayed a Porsche Taycan, a Chevy Bolt EV and 5 Teslas (2 MS, 2 M3, 1 MY).

Event Description
We will have, in a grassy area, a static display of multiple makes and models of PEVs (plug-in electric vehicles), both all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Current models expected to be displayed are Tesla Model S, Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y & Chevy Bolt EV. Spillover from the main display area will be in a nearby EVSE-available parking lot.
We will also have on display, a single module of an expandable, modular, 4-station EVSE platform, just developed this month. Each station has varying options including AC Level 2, DC Level 2 (maximum 350 kW), and a battery stack. One additional module can be attached at either end (total of two additions) making the eventual deployment of up to 12 EVSE. Near the display area we will have a table with handouts and experienced EV owners/drivers to answer questions.
The dealer display/demonstration will be nearby on surface roads in case rides are offered. Many dealers sell their EVs so fast that availability may be problematic. However, we plan to have a Kia EV6 and a Mitsubishi PHEV brought by dealers.
