Event Report
This was Durango's Earth Day Celebration. We were located in a park and the EVs were in the parking lot. We had about a dozen EVs throughout the day (some had to leave early and some came late) but were not offering rides as we wanted the vehicles on display and the area was very crowded and we didn't want folks going in and out of the lot. Notable vehicles include a Rivian and a homemade EV - a 1960s car that was retrofitted with a Nissan Leaf battery which was really cool. We also had Durango's electric school bus on display (which was a hit), and food trucks in the lot.The grassy side of the park had booths from over 20 local organizations sharing their climate solutions on posters. We had multiple speakers, the Southern Ute Bear Dancers, and kids activities.

Event Description
Join us for Durango's Earth Day celebration at Rotary Park on Saturday, April 23! The theme for the event is "Climate Solutions" and local environmental groups will be sharing solutions and ideas with community members. Speakers and live music will provide entertainment at this family-friendly event!
4CORE will be focusing on electric vehicles and local EV owners will have their vehicles on display for a show and tell. Stop by to peak under the hoods and ask them questions about what it's like to own, charge and drive an EV.
The annual parade will begin at the train depot (479 Main Ave) at 10:30am.
