Event Report

Having a DJ with a great sound system was a big plus.  We used a wireless mic to broadcast around the event area for our 30 minute EV / EV infrastructure presentation.

A big hit was moving a Tesla out where all could see and doing a Tesla light show with the fight song for the University of Kentucky.

A local dealer brought out 6 used car EVs and a local credit union was set up just behind them to promote discounted rates on GREEN loans on EV and home projects.  A local attendee guessed closest to the amount in their money jar and ran off with over $174 in cash !

The local rotary club and our host Rosemary C Brooks Retirement Center put up a 20x20 tent and furnished a FREE lunch consisting of hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink.  A 2023 Mini-Cooper EV was a big hit !  Teslas and an ID.4 and several Leafs and Bolts/Volts were on hand along with Kia PHEVs , and a Hyundai Kona.  An attendee announced that they were expecting delivery of a Ford F-150 Lightning in mid-July and we also heard that a Ford Mustang MachE was to be delivered locally within a week.

Our EVOLVE KY facebook page has 10 pictures taken at the event.  We are waiting on Tuesday's edition of the Winchester Sun to see the article and any pictures taken by their reporter and their photographer.

Touchstone Energy, the electric coop marketing organization brought out a Volt and a Bolt and a mockup of a Clipper Creek Charging Unit.

This event was one of THREE events in which EVOLVE KY participated.  The other two were in Springfield Kentucky and Mt St Francis just northwest of Louisville.

We are SO looking forward to National Drive Electric Week and will be posting an event when that time is near !

Rosemary C Brooks Retirement Center and Winchester Rotary Club invited EVOLVE KY to bring EVs to display. This picture shows a Model S Tesla, a Model 3 Tesla, a Kia Optima, a Hyundai Kona, another Model 3 Tesla and a Chevy Bolt. Bench seats and rocking chairs for the residents of the Retirement Center were provided in the warm Kentucky sunshine.

Event Description

The Winchester Rotary Club has invited EVOLVEKY, the non-profit EV advocacy group to bring over electric vehicles for us to view.  We will be able to see several models of Tesla plus several other car makes as well.  Our local credit union,  Members Heritage, will be on hand to promote their GREEN loans for green projects and special rates for Battery Electric and Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles.  Food and music will be provided.  We will have multiple presentations on EVs and EV chargers.  Come on out and see what the EV excitement is all about.  Special thanks to the Touchstone Energy Cooperative and Brooks Place and the Winchester Rotary Club for sponsoring our event.
