Event Report
We had 10 electric vehicles at our Erie, PA, Earth Day DEED event on Saturday April 23, 2022. Erie Champion Ford brought a Volvo XC40 which was a great share. We also had three Chevy Bolts, two Chevy Volts, two Teslas, a Kia Niro and a Honda Clarity. We are grateful to everyone who shared their vehicle. One of the Chevy Bolts powered the sound system for the whole event. And some of the door prizes were solar powered toys. The Erie outing Club arrived on human powered and electric assist bicycles, also green locomotion. Samara, age 10, gave a stage talk on the environmental virtues of EVs; way to go younger generation:) Many thanks to everyone including DEED for making this event possible.Event Description
As well as the Drive Electric Earth Day event there will a variety of environmental groups and demos. We are limiting this event to TEN plug in EV vehicles. The EVs will be parked in the designated parking spaces on South Park Row. They will park back-in. Plan to arrive 11:00-11:30 for setup. The event runs from 12-2:00pm. All are welcome to our Greater Erie Community Celebration. Local restaurants are close by. The bay-front is within walking distance and Presque Isle beaches are close by.
