The SRMT Environment Division is hosting an Earth Day event on Apr 22 12:00pm-6:00pm at the Generations Park complex. Programs from the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and from Mohawk Council of Akwesasne will have booths set up for the attendees as well as other organizations we work in coordination with like the USDA and the US Forest Service.

We will have product and food vendors from the community.

This event will be a zero-plastic and zero-waste event. There will be door prizes for the people who come out to celebrate Mother Earth with us. The one thing we are trying to stay away from is the single-use plastic. No plastic water bottles will be sold or given away because Generations Park has the water bottle filling station in their bathroom building as well as a drinking fountain.

Electric vehicles will be on site to look at and you can ask questions.  We will be showcasing BEVs and PHEVs. Level 2 chargers are available around the Akwesasne community to promote going electric. We are showing the community that EVs are real vehicles and they can go several miles before they need a charge.  Come check out EVs and our charging stations.
