Event Report
Our event was a success. We had 100 years of EVs present. A 1922 Detroit Electric from the Seal Cove Auto Museum (driven to the event) to a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 2022 Ford Mustang GT. We had Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Tesla, VW, GEM, Pedego Electric Bicycles, and Nissan vehicles present. A great location with many tourists wandering by and getting informed. The Weather was great and the Bar Harbor Club was a first class location. Amalia Siegel from Efficiency Maine spoke about new charging infrastructure coming to the surrounding areas as well as incentives and rebates. Gordon Beck from A Climate To Thrive talked about the benefits of EV Ownership, charging and this great event. Finally, Norm Burdzel talked about EV ownership and Winter range expectations.

Event Description
In celebration of
Drive Electric Earth Day, the Bar Harbor Task Force on the Climate Emergency
welcomes you to attend our very first free Electric and Plug In Hybrid Vehicle Showcase in Bar
Harbor, Maine on April 24, 2022 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
There will be many local owners with their cars on display allowing you to get real ownership, reliability, range, charging and technical questions answered by the people who own and drive them. We expect some to offer short road-trips around town so you can experience the thrill of riding in an EV.
We have invited local plug in and electric car and bike dealers to help you learn about new EV offerings, costs,
incentives, rebates and how to purchase.
Come and learn about a new zero emission vehicle rental service in town
allowing you to explore the area in the very near future.
Now is a great time to
consider the switch to a zero emissions vehicle. We know EVs are an important
part of minimizing green house gas emissions and resolving the global climate
emergency. We hope to see you there.
