Event Report
This year's DEED event in Corvallis was held jointly with the Green Living Expo at the Fairgrounds Auditorium that focused on home improvements for energy efficiency and electrification. The organizing efforts of the Transportation Action Team of the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition were bolstered the day of the event with support from members of the Emerald Valley Chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association of America. The number of vehicles and attendees this year was easily double that of last year, thanks to the better weather and publicity. Several e-bikes were also on display and one dealer, PEAK Sports, also brought some e-bikes. It was great to see some of the newer EV models, such as the Hyundai Ioniq, Ford F-150 Lightning, Polaris 2, and Kia EV6. People seemed to really appreciate getting the literature at the info table and being able to talk to real-life EV drivers instead of sales people. Dealers were also invited but were short on inventory and failed to attend.

Event Description
Sponsored by Electrify Corvallis, a nonprofit that informs homeowners and businesses about innovative methods to increase the energy efficiency and resiliency of their buildings and transportation, thereby saving money, increasing comfort and health, and maintaining a livable climate. Local builders, tradespeople, and businesses will exhibit their services and wares, and electric vehicle owners will show their cars, bikes, and scooters, to the interested public who want to energy retrofit their homes and electrify their lives and transportation.. Free admission. Live music, food carts, and raffle prizes.
