Event Report
We had a less-than-expected turnout due to weather, with a couple of dealers deciding to not come. Only one (Garber Chevrolet) was present, and, unfortunately only brought a first-gen Bolt. The other 6 vehicles were individuals, and some drove a couple of hours to participate and show off their vehicle, including a Tesla MS that had 330,000 miles and another person who drove an hour to show off his MX and a 10K Roadie portable charging station.

Event Description
Help us celebrate Earth Day and learn how to do what’s best for Mother Nature! The Midland Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and its partners, the Midland Recyclers, Dow High Go Green club and the Midland Center for the Arts are hosting a FREE Earth Action Expo on Apr 22, 2023 from 11 am to 3 pm at Dow High School (3901 Saginaw Rd) in Midland. This event will feature many booths and stations with earth-friendly activities, information and products.
Last year’s expo included over 40 organizations--it showcased electric vehicles (EVs) from Tesla, Chevrolet and Toyota, the SVSU STEM bus, a waste water treatment plant truck, arts, crafts, and hands-on STEM activities, as well as a “passport” program with PRIZES! Right now we are working hard to make the 2023 event even more fun and educational. Parking and attendance is free plus food trucks will be present if you get hungry. Event will take place rain or shine (inside and outside).
