Yakima's Earth Day Fair is a volunteer effort that seeks to increase public awareness of environmental issues. The Earth Day Fair Planning team's mission is to engage the Yakima Valley's diverse community by bringing together methods, concepts, solutions, and understanding to educate about sustainability on a local level. Finally, the Fair is set to celebrate this place we call home, not only on the global Earth Day but all year long.
A variety of electric vehicles will be on display, along with personal evs (scooters, unicycles, hoover boards) in the EV Alley, next to the food truck. We'll have speakers on worm composting, "No Mow May", and Recycling in Yakima. Our exhibitors will include businesses and organizations that firmly believe in acting responsibly when it comes to protecting the environment and will be sharing information about local sustainable efforts.
