Event Report

Attendance at the Gateway Technical College (Kenosha) 'Celebrate Earth Day' event was minimized by the cold, windy weather (it actually snowed a few times). The Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Association and DriveElectricEarthDay outdoor display included 11 electric vehicles (six unique auto manufacturers). Our 50+ guests were educated about Electric Vehicles (PHEVs and BEVs), EV charging basics, EV charging stations, and the effect of all automobiles on the climate crisis with easy to understand printed materials and first-hand knowledge from our experienced EV owners. provided a generous sponsorship donation.

SIX different automakers in attendance shows a great diversity. Several Teslas, a Nissan ARIYA, a Chevy BOLT, a Chevy VOLT, and a KIA Niro are pictured. A Chrysler and a Ford EV were not pictured.
