Event Report
A quiet little event focusing on Earth Day and practical actions each of us can take. We always include a few EVs to spread the word that these are now practical transportation for most drivers and far less costly than the perception. Sponsored by the Lake Hills Neighborhood association the event is completely run by volunteers and has had no outlays since inception. Special thanks to Lighthouse Church for providing tables and chairs. The most popular vehicle for the 2nd year in a row has been a Zero electric motorcycle owned by Mike Meagher. Special note for my Ford Focus EV; I have useful stats showing operating costs and comparison with the gas powered Focus. This gives a people a like to like cost comparison and demolishes the 'luxury car' image of EVs.

Event Description
The Lake Hills Neighborhood Association Annual Earth Day Celebration on April 23, 2023 is focused on what we can do to make our planet better for us all. We will continue to show energy savings in transportation – EVs (including an electric motorcycle!), standard and electric bicycles will all be on display. We will also demonstrate how lawn and garden care can make a substantial impact by eliminating petrol-based fertilizers. 300 trees will be back with a selection of appropriate trees to take
