Event Report
The DEEM at Canal Walk was part of annual Earth Day Celebration, which includes other activities and displays of other environmental organizations. Regarding EVs, the major supporting party was New Jersey Electric Vehicle Association. Information on EV and charging incentives was provided by NJ Clean Energy Program representative.Good diversity of EVs were available on display, including Cadillac Lyriq. The longest distance travelled for the show was owner of Hyundai Ioniq 6, who travelled 160 miles from Delaware. He stated of having another 160 miles available on the battery, which shows the advancement of the existing EV technology.

Event Description
Join New Jersey EVA as we celebrate Earth Day at the Canal Walk Community in Franklin Twp (Somerset). Meet us at the parking lot adjacent to the pool. Other activities include paper craft, recycling collections, education programs from Audubon, Raritan Headwaters. Music for your enjoyment and food trucks will offer refreshments.
It is a large gated community so we need to have the RSVP list early on to communicate access for external visitors. Please register regardless of whether you are from Canal Walk or outside. In the comments field, please mention whether you are from the Canal Walk or coming from the outside.
