Event Report
We were part of a big Earth Day festival. Ben Jealous, the Executive Director of Sierra Club, brought his Ford F-150 Lightening EV truck so that was a huge highlight for the Sierra Club volunteers. He spoke to the crowd at the festival also and met local officials.Event Description
Let’s come together as a community to celebrate the beauty and promise of our local environment and the planet. Every year, communities worldwide uplift Earth Day to mark the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. It reminds us all to do what we can, in ways small and significant, restore, conserve and protect our environment.
The Sierra Club's Potomac River Group will have 4 or 5 electric vehicles (EVs) on display and the owners will be available to answer questions. It is a great opportunity to learn from real experience. There will be plenty of information on EVs and also home electrification.
There will not be much space for cars but if you want to display your car and share your experience email [email protected].
