Event Report
Drive Electric Earth Day was held in the middle of the Soda City Market which brings in thousands of local attendees along with tourists visiting Columbia. The weather was perfect with mostly sunny skies and temperatures around 70 degrees. Several local dealerships displayed their vehicles: McDaniels Porsche, JT's Kia and Jeep, Classic Ford, Dick Dyer Mercedes and Volvo. A local EV conversion company, Northrup Electric Automotive Work, displayed their converted 1972 VW Beetle Convertible. Carolina Conditions brought 7 EV vehicles that are part of their work fleet. Richland School District One displayed their EV school bus and Highline PPF displayed their Tiffany box colored Tesla Model Y. Many local EV owners displayed their cars and we set up an "affordable used EV" section to highlight used EVs that are an excellent deal and still benefit from the same clean fuel and low maintenance features of new EVs.Event Description
Join us for the National Drive Electric Week Earth Day event Saturday April 20th from 9am - 1pm at the Soda City Market as part of the nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles and more. Our event will feature a variety of electric vehicles from Tesla, Porsche, Ford, VW, Jeep, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai and more.
