Event Report
On a cold and windy day over 80 people learned about EVs from EV owners. As people arrived they were given a game card that looked like a map entitled 'My EV Journey'. As they worked their way through each of the stations they learned about different aspects of EV ownership. Everyone who completed their game card received a certificate for a free scoop of Magpie Gelato.
The stations were:
- What do you need at home for an EV
- EV maintenance
- EV chargers, level 1, level 2 and level 3
- Taking an EV road trip and finding chargers
- Buying an EV, how the cost compares to ICE vehicles and what incentives are available
Our local car dealer brought one of the first Chevy Blazer EVs, along with a Chevy Bolt, a MachE and an F150 Lightning.
A special thank you to the Viroqua Food Co-op for hosting our event, Magpie Gelato for sponsoring 'My EV Journey' and all the volunteers who helped with registration, learning stations, and those who brought vehicles and shared their experience with others.
