Event Report

Earth Day celebration is an annual event at Trotwood-Madison High School, a predominately African-American high school. Ms. Erynn Hayes's science students attended the presentation by our guest speaker, Mr. Dana Briggs, Jr, owner of EVentures Rentals. Mr. Briggs captured the students' attention and held it throughout his presentation. Afterwards, the students, and school staff, went outdoors to view Drive Electric Dayton's EV showcase: VW ID4, Chevy Bolt, Audi e-Tron, and the surprise: Tesla Cybertruck, courtesy of Mr. Briggs, Jr. Students and staff alike were impressed with design, speed and quietness of the Cybertruck.
Our grateful sponsor for this event was TED Renewables, a company focused on clean, low carbon energy resources.

Event Description

Trotwood-Madison High School, a predominately African-American high school, is in Trotwood, Ohio. Each year during Earth Month, we host a guest speaker who makes a half hour presentation and answers questions from 300+ science students on the benefits of EVs and the impact this transition offers their future. Students/staff will then view EVs outdoors, ask questions and ride in EVs in the school's parking lot, and enjoy  free popsicles from Sweet P's (courtesy of Drive Electric Dayton).
Drive Electric Dayton makes a donation of EV books to the school's library and  the school's science Instructors. EVs presented are from volunteers of Drive Electric Dayton and area dealers.
