Event Report

Two Rivians, Two Mustang Mach e's, and a Cadilac Lyriq were Most popular - but we also had the City of Mobile's electric garbage truck!

Some story's:
One of the folks I talked with was Shocked about the number of EV’s from different vendors.  They were pleased to see there were so many choices.

Another person was concerned that a Tesla or Mustang Mach-e was “too young” for them, and I was able to point them to a Cadillac right behind my car!

Spoke with this pleasant individual named Hope and her husband Ben. She was very new to the concept of EVs. I explained to her the features and current technologies surrounding the EV market. She seemed very excited about the prospect of being able to charge your vehicle at home overnight. She inquired about how much the power bill would be with a charger running overnight every day. I showed her an example of a friend's power bill vs the cost of paying gas for a year.

I had the chance to speak with one of the people with Mobile Water & Sewer Services. Like many people, he was interested in knowing how much an EV would add to his electric bill. I explained the numerous variables like service provider, TOU rates, miles driven, vehicles efficiency, etc., before telling him my personal experience. That seemed reasonable to him. Then I mentioned the avoided costs of NOT buying gasoline, or paying for oil changes. I could see his brain suddenly light up.
