Event Report
This event was part of Somerset Community College's Earth Day Celebration. They had a total of 1260 visitors to their large court yard festivities. Evolve KY presented five plug in electric vehicles for display. SCC prohibited "Ride and Drives" so we were unable to provide this usual offering. We were positioned near the entrance so most every visitor at least walked by our display. We estimated that we had meaningful in depth discussions with 60 individuals or couples. We had several "converts" from negative at approach to positive or at least thinking about it upon leaving. We resolved many misconceptions visitors had. We presented ourselves as real time, seat of the pants, drivers of EVs that could supply many years of real life experiences with out manufacturer or political bias.Mike Proctor, Publicity Chairman of Evolve KY, made a 30 minute presentation in an auditorium setting espousing the benefits of Electric Driving.
