On April 19, we brought the energy to the Salinas Amtrak Station for a jam-packed day of electric excitement! 

The Salinas EV Ride and Drive engaged 200 attendees, who came out to explore electric transportation, connect with local organizations, and get behind the wheel of 11 different electric vehicles.

With 147 test drives—more than double our goal—it’s clear the Salinas community is charged up about EVs! We were joined by six local EV owners and 16 community-based organizations who helped make the day both informative and fun.

The event created space for real conversations about sustainable transportation, affordability, and access. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Celebrate Earth Day at Salinas’ 6th Annual EV Ride, Drive, & Display Show!

Join Ecology Action for an exciting and interactive Earth Day celebration at the 6th Annual EV Ride, Drive, & Display Show in Salinas! This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, April 19th, from 11 AM to 3 PM, offering a hands-on experience with the latest in electric vehicle (EV) technology, expert guidance, and community engagement opportunities.

Experience the Future of Driving
Get behind the wheel and experience the thrill of driving electric! Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive over 12 different electric vehicles, from the newest models on the market to popular EV favorites. Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is encouraged to secure a spot! If you don't want to drive, you will also have the option to talk directly with EV owners who will be showcasing their electric vehicles. You will hear firsthand about their journeys to sustainable transportation and gain insights into the benefits of owning an EV.

Learn About the Benefits of Going Electric
Curious about making the switch to an EV? Our bilingual EV experts (English and Spanish) will be available to answer all your questions, from choosing the right EV to understanding financial incentives, tax credits, and rebates available at the federal, state, and local levels. Meet our EV Advisors who will provide free 1:1 EV Assistance to make the transition to electric smooth.
