Event Report
The first AustinEV Road Rally Scavenger Hunt was a big success!Ten participants divided into Driver-Navigator pairs and drove their electric vehicles an hour to our scenic Bastrop lunch restaurant destination. Along the way, each team followed detailed driving instructions and answered 60 online questions about landmarks they passed (for example, "On the left, what color is the taco trailer?" "On the right, how many bays in the fire station?").
We used Jotform to gather each team's answers and ChatGPT to quickly score the results.
The teams got almost perfect scores!
We enjoyed a self-funded lunch along the Colorado River at Neighbor's Kitchen & Yard. And, each participant go to select a couple of prizes, including an AustinEV baseball hat, water bottle, t-shirt, or tote bag. Thank you, Electric Vehicle Association for generously funding the prizes.
Everyone had so much fun that we are already planning our next road rally scavenger hunt. We hope you can join us.

Event Description
Teams of one electric vehicle (EV) Driver and at least one Navigator follow directions from our starting point to a self-pay lunch destination. Along the way, teams look out their windows to answer questions like, "What color is the house at 5th and Main?"
At lunch, teams get prizes and ties are broken by answering EV trivia questions.
Don't have an EV? We can match you with an EV Driver.
Got an EV but need a Navigator? We can match you with a Navigator.
Free! Fun!
