Event Report

The 2025 Earth Day celebration at Summit Park in Blue Ash is traditionally Cincinnati's second-largest EV event of the year, with thousands of attendees, food trucks, music and more.  This year cold weather kept crowds away initially, but attendance picked up as the afternoon got warmer.  This year Drive Electric Dayton joined Drive Electric Cincinnati to staff an Electric Vehicle Association booth in the area with greatest foot traffic to engage with passers-by and send the EV-curious over for ride or test drive.  We had an unusually broad array of EVs--a total of 29, including three electric motorcycles.  A total of 80 people went on rides or test drives in 17 EVs we had available for rides/test drive.

Special thanks to Mercedes-Bentz of West Chester, Toyota, and EV-only car rental company EVentures Rentals for bringing test drive vehicles.  For test drive we had a Mercedes EQE, Toyota BZ4X, Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Tesla Model Y.  Private owners gave rides in Polestar 2, Cadillac Lyriq and Optiq, Hyundai Ioniq 5 & 6, Chevy Bolt EV & EUV, VW ID.4, and Rivian R1T.

The highlight of our EV Showcase was a Rolls-Royce Spectre, the first time we've had a Rolls-Royce at one of our EV events!  Most event attendees had no idea that Rolls-Royce makes an all-electric model.  Our local Tesla store brought a New Model Y.  Other vehicles in our showcase: Ford Mach-E, Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Equinox EV, Tesla Cybertruck, BMW X5 xDrive45e PHEV, Zero and Ryvid Anthem EV motorcycles.

Event Description

Drive Electric Cincinnati invites you to join us for a ride and drive at the Cincinnati Earth Day Celebration 2025 at Summit Park in Blue Ash, OH.

If you are not yet an Electric Vehicle owner, but interested in learning more, this event is for you!  Check out the EVs, talk to EV owners and ask them questions about driving electric.  Also a great opportunity for existing EV owners to try out different models. Sign up at the event for EV rides and test drives.  Experience the smooth, quiet acceleration and see for yourself what people are talking about!  Ride in multiple EV models to compare.  We will have a great selection of EVs, including pickup trucks like the Ford F-150 Lightning and newer models like the new Tesla Model Y and Cadillac Optiq.

If you are an EV owner, come by our booth and share your EV experience and compare notes with other EV owners.  (Press the "Volunteer" button to let us know if you’d like to help staff our booth.)  If you’ve signed up ahead of time to volunteer as one of our Ride & Drive cars or an EV Showcase car, park in the parking reserved for EVs; otherwise, park in the general parking area.
