Event Report
Our event campaign for Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM) was held at Riverside City College (RCC) on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 AM - 3 PM. Our event was sponsored by the Riverside City College Distance Education Department. Our co-sponsors were EVGIDE and Energz. We had at seven local car dealers present, BMW of Riverside, Honda, Tesla, Acura of Riverside, Volkswagen of Riverside, Fritts Ford (Riverside) and my friend brought his Hummer 2 EV for static display.The college featured a tour of their expansive automotive department. Several of our guest attended the presentation. The automotive instructor, Joe, talked about the many career opportunities available through their automotive department. Our guests were able to ask questions about the program during his discussion as we toured the facility.
At our non-profit energz.org booth/tent, I distributed the materials provided by PluginAmerica. Unfortunately, it began to rain around 12:00 PM, and most of our vendors started to shut down their displays. I would say we had about fifty people turn out for the event. I can attest to this, because ten guests were mine. Most of the auto dealers had at least two people at their tents, so that equals fourteen and the RCC staff was about eight... to my calculation that totals 72 people in our total count.
Overall, I think the event was successful, even though the inclement weather had affected our turnout.
We are looking forward to collaborating with Riverside City College again on future events.

Event Description
Drive Electric San Jacinto (California)
Drive Electric Earth Month, April 26, 2025, is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. We are hosting an event where attendees will learn about electric vehicles (EVs) and electric vehicle charging options for home and public chargers. Individual EV owners and EV owners from area car clubs will bring their vehicles to our gathering to display and talk about their vehicles. Individuals will have the opportunity to test drive selected electric vehicles; Additionally, attendees will understand electric vehicle batteries and the benefits of owning a zero-emissions vehicle.
