Event Report
We had cool but pleasant weather for our 4th annual EV showcase at the Kalamazoo Nature Center. KNC has generously continued to host us at their wonderful facility during their observance of Earth Day, when they suspend their entrance fee and put on a variety of special programs and displays especially for families. This year we were also sponsored by the local utility company, Consumers Energy, who provided giveaway items and information detailing their various EV charging incentive programs. We were joined by Tesla of Grand Rapids, which gave test drives in a brand new Model 3, and Johnson Cycle works, who brought 4 e-bikes for people to inspect and try out. The most popular EV on display was probably a beautiful first edition VW ID Buzz that drove over from Hastings, Michigan.

Event Description
Another big Electric Vehicle show is coming to the amazing Kalamazoo Nature Center for Earth Day, 2025. Expect to see 15-20 EVs along with their friendly and knowledgeable owners on the lower parking lot of the KNC. The Nature Center itself will also be open, of course, with displays and activities available for the whole family. This event takes place on Saturday, April 26, and in recognition of Earth Day, admission to the center will be free for the entire day. Everyone is welcome, from all levels of interest. You'll be able to see a variety of vehicles up close and all in one place, along with plenty of folks ready to answer questions and share their real world experiences driving electric. This event is informal, open-house style; come any time between 10:30 and 3:00 and stay as long or as short as you like.
