Event Report
Bristol, Virginia's first Earth Day EV Expo was held on the afternoon of April 19th in downtown. The Wolf Hills Jazz Quartet entertained the guests and their amps and microphones were powered by a Ford Lightning. Booths were set up by Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, the Sierra Club, East Tennessee Clean Fuels and the Appalachian Highlands EV Club. While the event was hosted by Virginia Clean Cities, event partners included the city of Bristol, Virginia, WCYB and East Tennessee Clean Fuels. The event was promoted before and after by our WCYB partners. WCYB also donated several 15 second spots in their commercial line-ups for promotions beginning one week before the event. Virginia Clean Cities staff captured a quick video of the event. Attendees showed up loaded with great questions about electric vehicles and shared the local TV coverage encouraged their decision to come. Many said they were in the research stage of purchasing an EV and found this event a great opportunity to learn more. The EV Club members brought a variety of electric vehicles including Mustang Mach-E, Ford Lightning, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV9, and Tesla. Three attendees decided to test-drive the EVs and crossed state lines on the route laid out down State Street along the Tennessee border. Food was offered by Snapp's Craft and Cravings in a Box food trucks.

Event Description
Join us in the heart of downtown Bristol for an event that includes all you need to know about electric vehicles. Virginia Clean Cities is partnering with the City of Bristol, Virginia, WCYB and East Tennessee Clean Fuels to celebrate Earth Day. Music will be provided by the Wolf Hills Jazz Quartet from 2pm-4pm. Other area agencies will be present to showcase opportunities to do your part in being a good steward of our planet. Electric Vehicle Ride and Drives will be offered to attendees that sign a waiver.
