Event Report

The sunshine joined us and it turned into a gorgeous day for our 8th annual Electric Car Show this past Saturday! In collaboration with Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM), we were pleased to host a variety of vendors, some attending from across the state, and 77 vehicles drove in for the event from far and wide. It was our largest showing to date and we project it will be the largest DEEM event in Ohio for the year! In addition to electric cars, trucks and SUVs, we saw e-bikes, a motorcycle, and brand new electric lawn equipment from EGO Power thanks to E&H Hardware. And for the first time ever, we hosted test drives from Tesla! Tesla shared with us a variety of models to put 55 participants in the driver's seat for a full self-driving experience.

We want to extend a big thank you to our vendors, volunteers, and staff for their hard work ensuring that the event was smooth and fun for all. And to our electric vehicle drivers, thank you for attending and sharing your knowledge and insight with our community! Thank you to Creperie Savoie & Big D's Soul-B-Q for feeding us well, and our DEEM Team for their efforts and energy toward this event every year consisting of Ryan Leeper, Kevin Wall, Brodie DeHass, Kate Frichtl, and Annie Yoder.

Event Description

Join Drive Electric Earth Month at Local Roots Market and Cafe for our Eighth Electric Car Show. See a variety of electric vehicles (EVs) in the south parking lot. Along with the EVs, we will be hosting a number of booths with vendors who will share information on a variety of related topics like sustainable energy, environmental education, and more! We will also be serving a pop-up crepe menu for breakfast from Creperie Savoie, and lunch from Big D's Soul-B-Q out of our café kitchen. Enjoy coffee, food from the café, browse items from local artists, and shop from local farmers.

Cheeky Monkey: Nutella, banana, cocoa spice dust, whipped cream

Midwest NIce: Hickory smoked Ohio ham, sharp white cheddar, stadium mustard remoulade

Spring Hipster: Meyer lemon & green pea hummus, feta, baby arugula, roasted sunflower seeds & pepitas
