Event Report
Hi to all DEEM owners and new D$W members,
It's been a couple of weeks since you took valuable time on your Saturday to participate in our DEEM event in Kenosha. I wanted to thank you for attending and give you some thoughts on the event. Special thanks to Joe from D$W and Yvonne from the Sierra Club Southeast Gateway Group for their help in managing this DEEM.
- We had 16 registered xEVs and 2 non-registered xEVs on site, and 20 owners/friends.
- The weather was a bit challenging with the cold wind, but at least it was dry
- A local videographer was on site, interviewing owners as well as talking with me inside. I have not seen his work posted as yet.
- We had an estimate of 50 persons review the display and talk to owners; some sent outside after talking with me inside about diversified electric vehicles
- Though co-hosted by the Sierra Club, there was little presence of the local Chapter SeGG except for SeGG members Joe and Yvonne, who managed this DEEM
- Reports were that Range and Cold Weather were two of the most repeated questions by guests
- I received feedback that the registration was easy and the driver envelopes were helpful
I'd like to hear any thoughts and/or suggestions you have about this DEEM. For some of you, this was your first D$W event, and I hope you liked what you saw. All owners will be kept in the loop on any future xEV events that D$W may host. I hope you had a good time with many seeds planted about the benefits of xEV technology. You, as owners, are the tip of the spear for getting gas drivers to transition to xEVs.
Thanks again for making this DEEM a success and drop me a line when you have a chance. I'd love to hear from you.

Event Description
Celebrate Earth Day: Kenosha is a community celebration hosted by Gateway Technical College, designed to share information on how to help our environment and, at this DEEM event, to highlight Electrified Vehicles that help us live more environmentally friendly lives. The event will be held on the Kenosha Campus of Gateway Technical College, 3520 30th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53140, on Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Drive $mart Wisconsin, the oldest and largest grassroots Eco-Driving group in the US, will co-host this DEEM event, along with the Sierra Club Southeast Gateway Group. D$W has hosted eight Plug In America events over the years and welcomes any Electrified Vehicle to register and display. We look forward to each owner freely discussing and explaining the benefits of owning an Electrified Vehicle with attendees at this event.
Drive $mart Wisconsin and the Sierra Club Southeast Gateway Group will also have displays inside the Gateway Technical College event building adjacent to this DEEM event.
