The CFAES Wooster Campus will be home to the 2026 Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair at the Fisher Conference Center on Saturday May 2 from 10 to 5 pm to celebrate the 56th anniversary of the world-wide celebration of Earth Day, the fair celebrates, educates and demonstrates that “Green is for Life!” It features exhibits and demonstrations by non-profits, citizens, educational groups and speakers whose focus is improving community and global sustainability. There will be recycling of a variety of items, food vendors, speakers, movies, activities and a Green Vehicle Cruise-in, all in a fun-filled environment.
The Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair is sponsored by the OSU CFAES Wooster and the Wayne County Sustainable Energy Network. The Fair is free and open to the public.
The SGGF Speaker Seminar will be held in the Fisher Conference Room 12 – 2:30 pm and will feature presentations on ways to incorporate renewable energy and electric vehicles into your life using the Inflation Reduction Act as well as Agrivoltaics, Geothermal energy systems and Improving home energy efficiency. Two tours will be held. One of the Secrest Arboretum, and another featuring renewable energy features of CFAES campus. This tour will include stops at the OSU LEED Science and FABE buildings, the Composting Center, the Recycling Center, the Quasar anaerobic digestor and the ATI Photovoltaic Array.
