A very wise man once said, “If you want to find out more about electric vehicles, don’t ask someone with an opinion, ask someone with experience.”

Come to our event and you can ask electric vehicles owners why they bought an electric vehicle and what their experience has been. Many, including me, City Captain for the event, will tell you we did it to save money and it has saved us even more than we expected. In these days of wildly fluctuating gas prices, it may be more than worth your while to learn more about the cost savings and other benefits of driving electric.

Organized and run by Electric Vehicle owners as a part of Earth Week activities coordinated by the United Climate Action Network and the Cazenovia High School Environmental Club, Cazenovia (and all of Central New York State) takes part in Drive Electric Earth Day, a free event from 10 am. until 3 pm. at Burton Street School at 37 Burton Street in Cazenovia, NY. The event is open to the public. Electric vehicle owners will display their vehicles and answer your questions. You can talk to owners, take a ride in an Electric Vehicle, or even drive one. You can view a list of the plug-in vehicles owner's registered to bring at the bottom of this page. Note: The bus circle is reserved for electric vehicles and other event vehicles, like a food truck and the Electric School Bus that will be there. Free parking is available off Clark Street behind the school. (See map below for details.)

Remember to visit the many environmentally friendly organizations and displays inside Burton Street School, too.

Important information for Electric Vehicle Owners:

Registered Plug-in vehicle owners please report to Burton Street school by 10 am., if your schedule permits, or join us when you can if it does not. See the map below for a detailed view of Burton Street School. You should enter at the North end of the bus circle. The staff at the event will direct you where to park.

Note: There are two free Level 2 chargers that do not require an app to operate at Lakeland Park. Two more are just over a mile from Burton Street at Meir's Brewery. The nearest DCFC chargers are in the East Syracuse area about 15 miles away.

You are welcome to attend just to display your vehicle. You can also choose to allow test rides and/or test drives if you're interested. More detail will be provided at the event.
