Event Report
It rained during the entire event so public participation was low. There was nothing we could do about that. But, the conversations we had were with people who were ready to go electric. From that perspective, it was a success.
We had participation from these organizations (two others canceled due to weather):
- Blue Whale EV (charging infrastructure company)
- EVHybridNoire
- Chesapeake Climate Action Network
- City of Annapolis with its electric transit bus and micro-mobility tricycle
The City of Annapolis Presented us with a citation signed by the mayor and city council members, as follows:
Presented to Kick Gas! Annapolis
On behalf of the residents of the City of Annapolis, we are pleased to confer upon you this City Council Citation in recognition of th Kick Gas! Annapolis event and show. This showcase gives Annapolis residents the opportunity to learn about the world of electric vehicles and how they can help protect the environment from pollution. The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater DC, in partnership with Blue Whale EV, the Maryland Department of General Services, and the City of Annapolis, p ut on this event as part of Drive Electric Month, aiming to show off new and old models of EVs while educating the public on the appeal of driving an EV. Thank you for doing your part to help our community transition into more sustainable forms of transportation, and congratulations!
