Event Report

DGS hosted its annual Earth Day event last week, bringing together partners from across the State to highlight innovation and progress in sustainability!

Secretary Chaudhry delivered remarks and presented the Maryland EV Champion Award to Joseph Hester from the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, recognizing his leadership, advocacy, and initiative in advancing electric vehicle adoption across Maryland.

Attendees had the opportunity to explore tables showcasing green products and organizations working to build a more sustainable future for Maryland. The event also featured exciting electric vehicle demonstrations, including the opportunity to ride and drive some of the State’s growing fleet of electric vehicles, as well as an electric bus.
