Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM) EV Showcase Part of GWRCCC's 2nd Annual Earth Day Walk & Green Expo Saturday, April 18, 2026 — National Mall, Washington, DC

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than seeing the future of transportation lined up on the National Mall? The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC (EVADC) is proud to present a Drive Electric Earth Month showcase featuring 20 or more electric vehicles displayed along the walking route of the Earth Day 5K Walk, stretching from the U.S. Capitol to the Washington Monument and back.

For the Public: This is your chance to see real electric vehicles up close and talk with the people who actually drive them every day. Forget the sales pitch — these are everyday EV owners who can tell you what it's really like to own and live with an electric car. How far does it go on a charge? How much does it cost to "fuel" compared to gas? What's it like on a road trip? Can you charge at an apartment? Whatever questions you have, our friendly EV owners have real answers drawn from personal experience. You'll also see commercial electric vehicles on display, giving you a glimpse of how electrification is transforming transportation beyond passenger cars. Whether you're EV-curious, actively shopping, or just want to see what all the buzz is about, come walk the Mall and stop to chat along the way. The vehicle displays and Green Expo exhibits are open from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Calling All EV Owners — We Need You! Do you love your EV? Want to help others discover what you already know? EVADC is looking for volunteer EV owners willing to display their vehicles and share their ownership experience with the public. This is grassroots EV advocacy at its best — one conversation at a time, in one of the most iconic settings in the country. Your vehicle will be positioned along the National Mall walk route where thousands of Earth Day participants will pass by throughout the morning. All EV makes, models, and years are welcome.

What volunteer drivers need to know: Plan to arrive at the National Mall between 6:00 and 7:00 AM so that vehicles can be parked and positioned along the route before the event opens. You should be prepared to stay with your vehicle through 1:00 PM to answer questions and engage with walkers. Bring a chair, water, sunscreen, and your enthusiasm. If you have any informational materials, window signs, or accessories that help tell your EV story, bring those too.
