Event Report
As part of our Electrify the Rebuild Campaign, Resilient Palisades incorporated electric vehicle education and outreach into Earth Day 2026 at the Palisades Village Green. Community members had the opportunity to explore a range of EVs on display, including the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ, Hyundai Kona Electric, Tesla Cybertruck, and Tesla Model Y. The vehicles sparked conversations about clean transportation, home electrification, battery storage, and rebuilding more resilient, all-electric homes in the Palisades.
The event brought together hundreds of community members reconnecting after the fires, while also engaging with sustainability-focused organizations, native plant advocates, students, and local partners. In addition to EV education, attendees participated in nature walks, zero waste initiatives, native plant giveaways, and youth-led climate education activities. The event highlighted the strong community interest in practical climate solutions and demonstrated how transportation electrification can be integrated into broader rebuilding and resilience efforts.
