Event Report

DRIVE Electric Arizona's Native Nations chapter held a Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM) EV Showcase in Peach Springs, Arizona, the cultural headquarters of the Hualapai Nation, a 1 million acre American Indian Nation in Northern Arizona along Historic Route 66. The event was held during the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona’s 37th Annual Fun Run, bringing together classic car enthusiasts and the future of driving in one place.
We had 17 EVs on display right on Route 66 thanks to the incredible hospitality of the Hualapai Tribe. EV owners came with their cars and trucks from across Arizona, Pacifica and Sacramento, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and even Ukraine to share their EV knowledge —and it was great to have Jonathan Overly from Drive Electric USA (Tennessee Clean Fuels) join us as well.
One of the highlights: a conversation with Duane Clarke, Chairman of the Hualapai Tribal Council about what’s next. The Hualapai Tribe is installing both Level 2 and DC fast chargers this year, and we offered to come back and host a full Ride & Drive once they’re up. The response? Very enthusiastic.

Sponsors included DRIVE Electric Native Nations, DRIVE Electric Route 66 Kingman, DRIVE Electric Arizona, and the Hualapai Nation.

Event Description

Join DRIVE Electric Native Nations and DRIVE Electric Route 66 Kingman for a special electric vehicle showcase at Peach Springs, Arizona, held alongside the 37th Annual Historic Route 66 Arizona Fun Run and the 4th Annual Electrified Route 66 Fun Run. This unique event takes place adjacent to the Hualapai Cultural Center, in the heart of the Hualapai Tribe’s community.

Peach Springs, the capital of the Hualapai Tribe, offers a meaningful setting to connect transportation innovation with cultural heritage. The Hualapai Cultural Center serves as a cornerstone of the community, preserving and sharing the Tribe’s history through exhibits on traditional basketry, cradleboards, language, and more.

What to Expect

This showcase provides a welcoming, hands-on opportunity to learn about electric vehicles directly from EV owners. Attendees can explore a variety of vehicles, ask real-world questions, and gain insight into EV ownership, charging, and performance. Featured vehicles will include the Rivian R1T Quad Motor, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, and Kia EV6 GT, among others.

Whether you’re curious about making the switch or simply want to experience EVs up close, this event offers a no-pressure environment to learn and engage.
